In October, she was cast in a co-leading role as Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger, in Power Rangers (2017), the film adaptation of the TV series of the same name. She filmed her scenes but they were removed from the final cut. Scott was cast as Ryoko in Ridley Scott's The Martian in 2015. The series, however, was not renewed for a second season. She co-starred in Steven Spielberg's TV series Terra Nova, which premiered in September 2011. She landed her first role in American production with Lemonade Mouth, a Disney Channel Original Movie, in 2010 and was casted the role of Mo Banjaree, one of the main characters (along with Hayey Kiyoko, Adam Hicks, Blake Michael, and Bridgit Mendler). Her first major acting role was with Life Bites, a Disney Channel UK series that began in 2009. She sang in Lemonade Mouth, along with some of her other fellow castmates Bridgit Mendler, Adam Hicks, Hayley Kiyoko, and Blake Michael. She went to work with British songwriters and producers (Xenomania) when she was discovered by Kelle Bryan, a British pop-singer for the band Eternal. Scott first began her singing career with the Bridge Church Youth Band, in which she often performed regularly with during school musicals and drama productions. She has traveled to Slovakia to teach English in schools and perform with her youth band. She is also a humanitarian, as she regularly participates in outreach work and missionaries. She was the daughter of an Indian Ugandan raised mother and British father.
